In order to achieve the most from our products we recommend the following tips when burning your Satori Aroma candle or wax melt.

  • When burning your candle for the first time , allow it to burn for at least 3-4 hours depending on candle size.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit while sleeping.
  • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the candle (if available) to avoid wax from splattering.
  • For safety measures stop burning the candle when there is 1/4 inch left in the vessel.
  • Keep candle out of reach of children and pets.

Ongoing use

  • When not in use, place your candle away from direct sunlight as this may cause discolouration of your candle.
  • Before lighting your candle again we recommend that your trim the wick to about 1/4 inch to ensure a smoke free flame.
  • We recommend that you burn your candle for no longer than 3-4 hours at a time.

Candle tunnelling

  • Candle tunnelling is a term used when the first burn of the candle is not lit long enough for the wax to exceed to the edge of the vessel.
  • Candle tunnelling is very common and can happen to any candle. To prevent this from happening make sure when you light your candle ,burn for at least 3/4 hours or until the wax pool reaches the edge of the vessel.
  • If your candle has already tunnelled this can be easily solved by wrapping tinfoil around your vessel covering the body of your candle and over the edges where the wax has remained hard , be sure to leave a decent opening in the foil above the centre of your wick while doing this so the flame can breath freely.
  • When the sides are fully melted down remove the foil.

Wax melt guide lines and safety

  • Remove all packaging and break appropriate size for your chosen burner.
  • Use a non-scented tealight to heat your burner.
  • Place melt in to burner well , as the wax melts it will release a wonderful fragrance to fill your home.
  • When the tealight has been extinguished , the wax will re-harden and ready for your next use.
  • Unlike candles, wax melts do not evaporate, they can be used multiple times.
  • The easiest way to remove your wax melt from the well is to light your tealight , let the burner warm for less than 5 minutes , with paper towel or toilet roll gently push the wax and it will pop out.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
